Insights Discovery in Action

The NatCarbon Africa team attended the Insights Discovery course. First held in September 2024 and again in May 2025, the program fostered self-awareness, team collaboration, and actionable growth. By exploring personality styles through the four colour energies and engaging in practical exercises, the team strengthened communication, adapted to new roles, and aligned on shared goals—laying a strong foundation for restoration success across 100,000 hectares of land.

Strengthening Carbon Projects Through Global Insight: Lessons from the University of Freiburg’s Carbon Forestry Course

Attending the Carbon Forestry course at the University of Freiburg in early 2025 offered valuable global perspectives on land-based climate solutions. Covering carbon accounting, verification standards, and co-benefit frameworks like CCB accreditation, the course deepened understanding of what makes carbon projects credible and impactful. For NatCarbon Africa, it affirmed that our science-driven, community-focused approach to restoration—especially in South Africa’s Spekboom landscapes—is not only aligned with global best practice, but helping set the standard for the future of climate solutions.
